RWA Lab

A nationally-certified testing laboratory specializing in providing expert chemical and microbiological testing of drinking water for consumers and public and private water utilities.


As a business unit within the Regional Water Authority (RWA), the lab has extensive experience handling drinking water issues. We differentiate ourselves from commercial laboratories because we are part of a water utility and understand your needs.

About the RWA

The RWA is a nonprofit public corporation that provides customers with water and services while promoting the preservation of watershed land and aquifers. We supply 46 million gallons of water daily to a population of 430,000+, own more than 27,000 acres of land, and provide a wide array of water-related services and recreational and educational opportunities to those in New England.

Net income from the RWA Lab helps fund utility infrastructure projects, reduce leverage, and mitigate water rate increases.

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in Drinking Water  Concerned about PFAS in your drinking water and how specific PFAS may lead to ailing health effects. The RWA lab is one of a few laboratories that test for these chemicals in water. Submit a chain of custody form for testing.
